I Pedal PDX shirt design takes off

chris A few weeks ago I went on my biennial epic road trip journey to the Pacific Northwest. My goal, aside from seeing my family and enjoying the company of friends, was to hit up a handful of bike shops in Portland with my new shirt design — “I Pedal PDX” where pedal is an image of an old-school Schwinn cruiser bicycle pedal.
It worked. I spent one afternoon calling shops, running around town and showing off a couple of samples to various cycle shops on Portland’s East Side, and one bike tour operator in downtown. Two shops bought. I’m so pleased.
The Missing Link on the corner of 72nd and NE Sandy Blvd. ordered 16 and Seven Corners Cycles ordered 6. Pretty good for a first shot.
Over the next however long, I’ll continue to do what I can to promote the shirts and get more orders from stores. If you have any suggestions or would like to place an order for a shirt, email me: chris@pinkminute.com.

I Pedal PDX
Hey Portland, Oregon, this post is specifically for you. This coming week, I’ll be bringing a stack of sample t-shirts that I designed and printed to a number of bike shops in town. The design is a play on the classic “I <3 Place” but instead of a heart, there’s a bicycle pedal.
I grew up in the Pacific North West and this design is an homage to a town that I know and love. I took some of my most memorable rides in and around Portland and I’m looking forward to many more in the future.
If you love to ride your bike around Portland, then this is just the shirt for you to sport and show your pride and commitment to a better world.
